Aldabra
is one of the last virgin islands in the world and is situated 1150 km south
of Mahe. It takes a four day boat ride to finally reach this glowing emerald
but whoever has been there before will testify you: “It’s definitely worth
it!”
This beautiful island with its almost untouched ecosystem is
of volcanic origin and is estimated to have risen out of the sea only 50 000
years ago.
The
Aldebra Atoll is an island rich of tortoises, turtles, dolphins, rays, crabs
and fruit bats. All those brilliantly beautiful marine creatures of every
persuasion tickle the senses like the turquoise blue water…and this in an
almost complete absence of mankind.
